Rapid urbanization and economic development in Asia have increased the demand for energy, deteriorated the urban and architectural environment, and problems such as air pollution that affect the environment globally. Asian cities are rich with diverse cultures and traditions with a long history. Therefore, developing human recourses with an understanding of the social and cultural background of the living environment, and a broad and practical knowledge of technologies has become vital for building sustainable urban and architectural environment of the Asia. In this proposed project, a consortium of 3 Asian universities (Kyushu University, Tongji University, Pusan National University) is developing a cooperative education program, based on the environment education model of the Kyushu University. This new educational program will establish a double degree program among partner universities of the consortium. The new double degree program will develop and adopt an international standard model for education, and a common certificate of completion and degree-granting process for urban and architectural environmental education. Universities in the consortium will share an education management WEB system to manage, evaluate, and to improve the proposed double degree program and the international standard model of education. And a web-portal will be published to promote the program internationally and to authenticate the proposed international education standards.
최근의 아시아는 급변한 경제성장과 도시화로 인하여 에너지 문제 뿐 아니라 전지구적으로 환경에 영향을 주는 대기오염과 같은 문제들로 인하여 건축과 도시의 환경이 악화되고 있다. 그러나 아시아의 많은 도시들은 오랜 역사에 따른 전통과 다양한 문화를 가지고 있다 따라서 정주환경의 사회문화적 배경에 대한 이해에 근원을 둔 인적자원의 개발과 광􏰃범위한 기술의 실용적 지식은 아시아의 지속적인 도시건축의 환경 건설을 활성화하는 데에 매우 유용한 조건이 된다.
본 프로그램에서 아시아의 세 대학(부산대학교, 큐슈대학교, 동제대학교)은 큐슈대학교의 환경교육모델에 근거한 􏰁교육프로그램을 개발한다. 새로운 교육프로그램은 컨소시엄의 파트너대학 간의 복수학위프로그램을 개설하고 운용한다. 매년 각 대학의 우수학생들을 교환학생으로 상호파견하며 교육의 효과를 공유하며 도시와 건축의 환경 교육의 학위수여과정과 수료의 인증을 공동 관리하는 대학원 교육의 국제적 표본모델로 발전시키고자 한다. 컨소시엄의 파트너 대학은 복수학위 프로그램과 교육의 국제적 표본을 개선 평가하고 관리하는 체계적 교육체제를 공유하며 국제교육의 표준을 인증하고 활용될 수 있도록 웹상의 포털을 개설하여 운용한다.

Project Objective & Background

Asian countries are experiencing a rapid growth in urban settlements, which lead to the increase in demand for resources and energy. Urban warming and deterioration of the urban environment, such as air pollution is a global problem with an impact beyond national borders. In the field of urban planning and architecture, promoting advanced professional education with a global vision of achieving low-carbon, nature-friendly cities, and built environment is a global priority. On the other hand, some urban and built environment issues are community-specific because of the historical, and cultural uniqueness. Therefore developing an education system that can respond to local needs while conforming to the international standards is required. The rich diversity of culture, traditions, and long history are adding to the complexity of answering urgent environmental issues in Asian cities. Therefore, solutions to achieve sustainable urban and architectural environment must be sensitive to the local needs of those cities. In this background, training programs for the specialists of the urban and architectural environment must provide a deep understanding of the social and cultural background of the living environment as well as a broad knowledge of technologies in order to face the environmental challenges of future Asian cities. To be effective as professionals in this field, an adequate experience of practical aspects of the profession such as identifying issues in the field, and developing appropriate solutions are also very helpful. In other words, providing a forum to learn across the borders, while sharing the experience of the diversity of Asian cities and architecture, is important to be an internationally recognized educational program that guarantees the quality of education. The new cooperative educational program by Kyushu University, Tongji University, and Pusan National University is proposing; 1. Implementing corporative educational program based on environment education model of Kyushu University, 2. Developing an international standard model for urban and architectural environment education and develop academic degree with unified completion and certification process, 3. Build a common academic affairs web system to evaluate, manage and support the proposed education program, 4. Establishing a portal site for public relations and for the dissemination of international standard model 5. Working on the development of accreditation system for urban and architectural environment education to guarantee the quality of education. This system will provide the environment for the academic interaction among students and to experience the diversity of environment sustainability in Asia.
최근 수십년간 아시아 주요도시의 주거는 빠르게 성장하였고 이로 인하여 자원과 에너지 수요도 급격하게 증가하였다 도시 온난화와 대기 오염과 같은 도시환경 오염의 문제는 국경을 초월하여 모든 국가와 도시에 영향을 미치는 지구적인 문제가 되었다 따라서 도시계획 및 건축의 가장 우선적인 과제로서 저탄소 친환경 도시와 건조환경 조성이라는 글로벌 비전을 지향하는 높은수준의 전문교육을 촉진하는 사업을 제안한다 많은도시의 건조환경은 특별한 역사적 배경이나 문화적 고유성을 기반으로 하고 있으므로 그 문제에 대응하는 지식과 태도 또한 지역사회별로 적절하게 고려되어야 한다 따라서 본 프로그램은 저탄소 친환경도시와 건조환경에 대한 지역의 수요를 만족시키고 이와 함께 국제적인 지표를 반영할 수 있는 교육시스템과 프로그램의 필요성에 근거하여 제안되었다.
아시아 국가의 풍요로운 문화와 전통 그리고 뿌리 깊은 역사는 최근 이들이 당면한 시급한 환경 문제에 대한 해결책을 탐색하는 경로에 직접􏰄적인 영향을 주지는 않는다 그러나 지속가능한 도시 및 건축 환경을 구축하는 경로는 도시별 수요와 환경에 적합하게 맞춰서 수립되어야 한다. 따라서 앞으로 아시아 국가의 도시들이 직면하고 있는 환경적 과제를 해결하기 위하여 가장 필요한 일은 주거환경과 기술의 사회문화적 역할에 대한 이해와 연구과정을 포함하는 도시 및 건축 환경 전문가를 양성하는 교육 프로그램은 운용하는 것이다 이와 같은 분야의 전문가로서 요구되는 역할을 하기 위해서는 현장에서의 문제파악과 문제에 대한 적절한 해결방안 강구와 같은 전문분야에서의 경험이 매우 유용한 바탕을 제공해줄 수. 있다 따라서 지속가능한 도시 및. 건축 환경구축을 위하여 주거 환경과 기술의 사회 문화적 역할을 탐색할 수 있도록 다양한 전문분야의 포럼을 개최하고 아시아의 도시와 건축의 다양성을 경험할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 과정은 전문가 양성 교육의 수준을 보장하고 국제적인 인증에 대응하는 교육 프로그램이 가져야 할 매우 􏰀요한 요소이다. 따라서 이러한 교육의 다양성을 제공하고 국제적 수준에 대응하는 교육 프로그램을 제공하기 위하여 아래와 같이 한국의 부산대학, 일본의 큐슈대학 그리고 􏰀국의 동제대학 이 공동으로 수립하고 공동으로 운영하는 교육체제를 마련한다. 따라서 환경 교육에 관한 큐슈대학의 모델을 기반으로 하여 학생교류와 산학􏰁력의 교육 프로그램을 구현하며, 도시 및 건축 환경교육의 국제 표준형 모델을 개발하고 단일화된 인증 과정이 있는 학위 과정을 운용하며, 교육프로그램의 평가관리 및. 지원을 위한 교육행정지원 온라인 프로그램을 구축하며, 홍보 및. 국제표준형 교욱모델의 보급을 위한 포털웹싸이트를 구축하며, 교육 품질 보장을 위한 도시 및 건축 환경 교육 인증시스템을 개발하는 한편, 본 인증시스템으로써 학생간 학문적 교류의 장을 제공하고 아시아 환경의 다양한 지속가능성에 관하여 경험할 수 있는 환경을 구축한다.

Pusan National University, Korea

Since it was established in 1953, The School of Architecture at Pusan National University has been fulfilling the role of the Southeastern Architectural Education base for 50 years. The School of Architecture of Pusan National University is in the forefront of the adopting international standards of Architectural education since the establishment of Korea Architectural Accrediting Board (KAAB) in 2004. Recent era's of globalization has opened up the field of architecture to the region and to the world. The School of Architecture at Pusan National University has been stepping up to provide this high level of education that meets international standards. Its global vision coupled with localized reality has attracted many international students.
부산대학교의 건축학과는 1953년 설립되었으며 60여년동안 동남지역의 건축교육 거􏰂점으로서 교육기회를 제공하여 왔다 2004년부터 건축학인증원의 설립과 함께 시행된 우리나라의 건축학인증체제에 근거하여 건축학 교육의 국제적인 표준을 적용하게 유도하는 역할을 수행하고있다. 최근의 지구화는 건축분야에서도 지역에서 세계로 영역이 확장되는 추세를 보여주고 있다 따라서 부산대학 건축학과의 건축학 교육은 세계적인 기준에 부합하는 수준으로 부상하고 있으며 20여년간 진행해오고 있는 국제건축디자인워크숍 등의 프로그램을 통하여 해외의 국제적인 대학들과 교류해 오면서 지역화와 함께 세계적인 비젼을 제공하고 많은 해외의 학생들에게 매력적인 환경을 제공하고 있다

Kyushu University, Japan

Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Human Environment Studies of Kyushu University started and conducted the environment education in the 21-century program under the title of Building a Sustainable Habitat System from 2003. Later in 2009 started the international graduate studies program under the global 30 project which was sponsored by the Ministry of Education. With these programs, the department of architecture and planning started series of international education activities to promote research and educational collaboration. The international workshop of Sustainable Design Camp was held in 12 universities in Asian region including Tongji University. Kyushu University participated the Architectural Design Workshop organized by the Pusan National University during the last 8 years. International Society of Habitat Engineering and Design was founded in 2011 under the leadership of Kyushu University and later reorganized as International Alliance for Sustainable Urbanization and Regeneration to coordinate the international research and education collaboration.
큐슈대학 대학원의 융합인간환경연구는 2003년부터 지속가능한 시스템 수립이라는 주제 하에 21세기의 환경교육을 주도적으로 시작하였다 2009년 하반 기에는 문부성의 지원으로 진행된 30여개의 국제적인 과제로서 국제적인 대학원 연구 프로그램을 개시하였고 그 일환으로 건축계획학과에서 교육과 연구를 결합한 일련의 국제적 교육활동을 주도적으로 실행하였다 지난8 년간 부산대학교 건축학과에서 개최한 동아시아도시건축디자인워크숍에 동제대학교와 함께 지속적으로 참여하는 등 12개 아시아지역의 지속가능한 디자인캠프에 관여하였다 또한 2011년에 큐슈대학의 주도 하에 국제공학설계􏰁회를 창설하고 이후에 국제적인 연구와 교육을 결합하기 위하여 지속가능한 도시화와 재생의 국제연맹으로 재편성하는 등 많은 영역에서 국제적인 연구교육활동을 주도해 오고 있다.

Tongji University, China

Tongji University is one of the leading universities in China under direct administration of Ministry of Education, listed on “Project 985” and “Project 211”. 동제대학은 '프로젝트985'와 '프로젝트211'의 목록에 오르는 등 교육부가 직􏰄관할하는 선도대학교 중􏰀 하나이다 100여년의 전통과 함께 동제대학은 교육 연구 봉사 그리고 문화적 계승과 혁신이라는 네 기능의 균형잡힌 발전에 가치를 두어 왔다 특히 1952년의 대학구조개편과 함께 건축학과는 지역에서 최고수준의 교육 단위로 성장하였다 􏰀중국을 대표하는 가장 영향력있는 건축교육기관으로서 가장 강력한 프로그램을 운영하며 CAUP의 대학원은 세계에서 가장 많은 대학원생을 보유하는 등 학문적 영역에서도 지구적인 영향을 미치는 국제적인 교육기관으로 자리 잡았다 뿐만 아니라 건설영역에서 가장 많은 지역의 핵심연구자를 배출하였으며 능력이 있는 핵심세대들에 대한 교육을 강화해 오고 있다.
